Τα MTV Video Music Awards 2025 έλαβαν χώρα το βράδυ της Κυριακής 7 Σεπτεμβρίου στην UBS Arena, στο Elmont της Νέας Υόρκης, με παρουσιαστή τον LL Cool J. Η φετινή διοργάνωση ήταν ξεχωριστή, καθώς για πρώτη φορά μεταδόθηκε όχι μόνο από το MTV αλλά και από το CBS, ενώ παράλληλα προβλήθηκε σε live streaming μέσα από την πλατφόρμα Paramount+. Το show περιλάμβανε εντυπωσιακές εμφανίσεις, ξεχωριστές συνεργασίες και νέες κατηγορίες βραβείων που ήρθαν να ανανεώσουν τα διαχρονικά μουσικά βραβεία.
Στους μεγάλους πρωταγωνιστές της βραδιάς ήταν η Ariana Grande, που απέσπασε το κορυφαίο βραβείο Βίντεο της Χρονιάς για το Brighter Days Ahead και συνολικά έφυγε με τρία βραβεία. Ακόμη πιο εντυπωσιακή ήταν η Lady Gaga, η οποία τιμήθηκε με τέσσερα βραβεία, ανάμεσα τους και το Καλλιτέχνης της Χρονιάς, ενώ ξεχώρισε και η Sabrina Carpenter που απέσπασε το βραβείο για το Άλμπουμ της Χρονιάς για το Short n’ Sweet.
